I have a medium-sized sling from another brand that I use as my camera bag. I didn't like the strap that it came with - rougher strap material and it didn't come with a quick release bucket. So I had tried straps from a few other premium brands, but while good quality were lacking in some way - either the buckle didn't operate in a way that I liked or it was difficult to lengthen/shorten the strap. This strap has 95% of what I was looking for - the soft seatbelt nylon strapping, the gate-keeper attachment points that my bag requires, smaller mechanical buckle, an easy to use slider to lengthen/shorten the strap, a single loop design for the strap so there's no dangle. I prefer the mechanical buckle as I feel it's more secure than a magnetic buckle. The only thing missing versus my original strap are swivels on the attachment points - but not a big deal for missing those.
Wider, smoother strap for the Toshi Sling. More comfortable than the standard/default, hopefully will last as long without any fraying.
The smooth strap is just that. Smooth. Noticeably smoother to the touch than the standard strap. I haven't tried it for day long roaming yet as I want to first see how I get along with the standard strap. I suspect I will find the smooth strap more comfortable than the standard strap for day long, or more, trekking. For quick outings I don't think there will be a difference.
If you're going to buy the sling, buy this smooth strap.
The original strap is nice but i prefer this smooth feel and it’s easier for me to sling from my back to front and vice versa since I usually use this sling on my front. Highly recommend!
Definitely works as advertised so no complaints here. I bought this with my sling and never used the original strap at all but it doesn't feel noticeably smoother than the original at least in hand when I was replacing it.
