Honest opinion, every bag no matter how big or small needs a stabilizing strap. I don't often bike or do anything active. But I find it to be one of the biggest pet peeves when you bend over and your bag slides around your body. I personally use this on my Toshi 2.5L which might seem like overkill, but I love that this little strap stops my bag from outright smacking me in the face when bending down or sliding around when I make a dash for anything.
Rework is incredible so far for their slings and stabilizing straps - rock onnnnnnn
I don’t require this strap 90% of the time. But I am glad it’s there for the 10% I do. Keeps the sling in place when I’m running around. Both sling and strap are comfortable when it’s in use.
Lets the sling fit nice and snug against my back
The strap is great. uses the same buckle system as the harness. I ride my bike and it keeps the bag stable. i am wearing it in the offset configuration. I absolutely love how it can stow away. I hate dangling straps!
After using this I'm honestly surprised I haven't seen more bag brands offering something like this. It's so simple, yet works so well. I use it when riding my bike, and it makes my Toshi 5L move as much as a backpack would (which is to say barely at all).
