This is the first product review I have ever written. I want to say that I am rather particular in my products, and research a ton before any purchase.
For reference, I am a college student and I travel a fair bit. I normally carry very little, usually consisting of a MBP 14in, an Ipad, chargers, water bottle (currently 22oz Owala) and sunglasses. The flex in my bag is always clothes, either gym or an extra layer. This leads to my use case specifically for this bag.
This bag perfectly fits the smaller daily stuff I carry, and when mostly unloaded is comfortable and allows easy access to my laptop. I personally use my laptop the most, so having a nicely padded bottom with easy access is about the best it can get. This bag will stand on its own, a feature that seemed useless to me at first but I have come to realize the niceness of it when it sits next to me in a chair. The clam shell style main compartment allows for nicely rolled clothes, a jacket or any other items like that. I personally can fit an entire change of clothes, a lighter weight jacket and have a comfortably full bag.
This bag would not lend well to carrying multiple text books in my opinion, but that's not my personal use case.
I spent a significant amount of time looking for a backpack that I could use to commute to the office and use as a light every day carry.
I was considering the Aer City Pro but it was a bit too bulky and rugged for me. I wanted something more streamlined with a better looking profile.
This backpack checked all my boxes. It’s spacious, organization is great, has durable materials, and it’s really comfy to wear. Highly recommend.
Perfect for everyday work backpack and travel day pack. It finally replaced my 15+ year backpack for use going to the office. It’s nice and lightweight yet still has great padding on the straps so it is comfortable to carry. Water bottle pockets are nicely sized too.
After looking at countless backpacks and reading / watching many reviews, the Toshi Pack 20L came showing up on the best EDC & personal items lists. I also have a spreadsheet with dozens of bags that I considered ranked against my must-have features, and it was one of a few bags that ticked all the boxes. Having no experience with the brand I was a bit skeptic, but I ordered it anyway to give it a try and I'm so glad that I did. The size, the organization, the little details like half-zip opening, it all worked out as advertised. It blends and disappears on my back so I forget that I'm carrying it, until I need something and then the features deliver a great experience. It's gone from +40C to -30C and it protects my stuff and makes carrying comfortable over a t-shirt or a huge jacket. I would strongly recommend it and I'm so impressed with the brand that I'm looking forward to expanding my Rework family with the travel bag and a sling.
I just received the Rework backpack and I’m really impressed. The design is sleek and understated, without excessive branding. It feels well-balanced in weight, with comfortable padding throughout. One of my favorite features so far is the chest strap—it fits perfectly and takes noticeable pressure off my shoulders.
This backpack is ideal for both work travel and city touring. The light-colored interior is a standout feature, making it easy to find cables, a laptop, or other dark items that often get lost in bags with black interiors. There’s also plenty of zippered storage and well-placed hidden pockets.
I’m especially looking forward to the upcoming 30L version, which I think will be the perfect travel pack. Using a carry-on with a larger backpack that fits under the seat lets me avoid checked-bag fees and keeps my belongings with me—no stress about lost luggage. One feature I’d love to see is an easy way to stow the 20L inside the 30L, so I could bring the larger pack for travel and use the 20L for day touring.
Thanks, Rework—this is an excellent product.
Great day bag to fit my ebook, book, water bottle, changer camera, and medications, etc
