Engineered for Transit
The Outbound Series is built for the constant transitions of travel, keeping your gear organized and accessible throughout your journey. Whether you’re boarding a nonstop flight or hopping on an overnight train, go outbound and move seamlessly from departure to arrival.
Ergonomic Harness System
-
U-Shaped Wireframe
A lightweight steel frame that gives the back panel structure and provides resistance when the load-lifters are engaged.
-
Load-lifters
Adjustable load-lifters work in tandem with the wireframe to bring the load closer to the body.
-
Sternum Strap
Brings the shoulder straps toward the center of the chest and keeps the pack stable while on the move.
Easy Access
Two quick access pockets designed to keep your items within reach—one from the top-down, and the other by swinging the bag over your shoulder.
External Lash Points
Six lash points across the front and sides of the bag provide attachment points for carabiners or oversized items.
Dedicated Tech Compartment
A padded divider in the false-bottomed laptop compartment fits devices up to 17" on each side.
Secured Zippers
YKK lockable zipper sliders on the main compartment, and zippers that tuck into paracord loops allow you to secure compartments with a lock or add a first line of theft deterrence.
Four-Way Grab Handles
Handles on the top, sides, and bottom allow you to easily maneuver the bag from any angle during travel.

Initial use and impressions are impressive. Well made, fantastic space and amenities.
I’ve only used the Outbound Rework on a short two-week trip so far, but it has been great.
The comfort is outstanding, and it fits much more than it looks like it would at first. It has enough organization to work well as an EDC too, without feeling too complicated or overbuilt.
My only small nitpicks are that I wish it had a hidden pocket, and I don’t love the compartment above the laptop area, since it can block the laptop a bit when taking it out. I would have preferred that pocket on the opposite side instead.
Overall, it’s lightweight, very comfortable, surprisingly spacious, and easy to recommend.
I adore this bag. I have travel bags from several of the major brands, but all seem to lack something. I own the Toshi Rework Bag 20L and have used that as my daily work bag since it came out, so I figured I may as well give Rework a shot at my travel bag, and wow I am impressed. It's everything I love about the Toshi Bag, just bigger and about the same weight! It worked great for a 5 day work trip this passed week, and I plan to use this for a 7 day adventure in Rome in a few months! Thank you for always making amazing gear!
After numerous review videos I'm glad to say I pulled the trigger on this bag. Its been so handy even without packing cubes the tech pouch where the laptop area is, was a big game changer for me. Instead of fumbling around a separate bag or have a need for a separate pouch it was worked perfectly. Overall comfort as well has been nice and plush. The straps are plush but sturdy - I know that's subjective for most folks but I came from Northface backpacks where they're a bit more stiff and this was do-able.
Bag is absolutely amazing. The manufacturing quality is really high and they have nailed every little feature from the dual laptop sleeves to the shape of the bag with its lightweight design which makes it feel like it can hold 35L. Moved from a 26L and the extra space in this one feels well beyond the 4L difference. Highly recommend to anyone on the fence about choosing it.
I finally decided to upgrade from my work-provided backpack and started a 3 month journey learning all things carry. I tried the usual suspects from Aer, Ablecarry, Bellroy, Alpaka, etc. all in I cycled through 10 different bags. I learned quickly that at 25L+ weight is a huge factor. The Outbound has the perfect amount of organization while staying lightweight when fully packed. It made it through 10 days in Europe and I had room to spare. My original goal was a bag that blended work and travel and I tried the 20L Toshi but found it too small for a travel bag (keeping an eye out for a 25L Toshi). My main critique (yes it can be floppy but I think the YouTube channels over emphasize that) is, after 4 flights across the US and Europe, the wire frame at the top of the bag means it’s a tall bag, so while it’ll fit under the seat in front of you it basically takes up all of that room. It works as a personal item but is best as your carryon paired with a checked bag.
The Pros:
-lightweight
-organization
-that top stash pocket
The Cons:
-Tall
-floppy
