Engineered for Transit
The Outbound Series is built for the constant transitions of travel, keeping your gear organized and accessible throughout your journey. Whether you’re boarding a nonstop flight or hopping on an overnight train, go outbound and move seamlessly from departure to arrival.
Ergonomic Harness System
-
U-Shaped Wireframe
A lightweight steel frame that gives the back panel structure and provides resistance when the load-lifters are engaged.
-
Load-lifters
Adjustable load-lifters work in tandem with the wireframe to bring the load closer to the body.
-
Sternum Strap
Brings the shoulder straps toward the center of the chest and keeps the pack stable while on the move.
Easy Access
Two quick access pockets designed to keep your items within reach—one from the top-down, and the other by swinging the bag over your shoulder.
External Lash Points
Six lash points across the front and sides of the bag provide attachment points for carabiners or oversized items.
Dedicated Tech Compartment
A padded divider in the false-bottomed laptop compartment fits devices up to 17" on each side.
Secured Zippers
YKK lockable zipper sliders on the main compartment, and zippers that tuck into paracord loops allow you to secure compartments with a lock or add a first line of theft deterrence.
Four-Way Grab Handles
Handles on the top, sides, and bottom allow you to easily maneuver the bag from any angle during travel.

After looking for a replacement backpack for years, I finally took a chance and preordered the outbound.
I love this backpack. It’s large enough for travel, but does work as a daily carry for work and gym. Double laptop/notebook pocket is a bonus. The quick access pocket for sunglasses and keys is a great idea. And the main compartment is actually large enough to fit all your gym kit with no issues. The design is sleek, doesn’t call too much attention. Comfortable straps. carry handles on all sides (discreet ones that don’t mess with the silhouette).
The only downside so far is that it doesn’t stand on its own, but that’s a marginal issue.
I took this on my first trip. It packs really easily, and with the low weight and awesome harness, it is easy to carry a very full bag. I love the dual laptop design so I can take my personal and work laptop with me. The production quality is great. I love the no logo look.
I regularly bring 10+ lbs of gear during my international trips and have found the harness system lacking in the travel backpacks I’ve owned. Rework seems to have taken inspiration from backcountry backpacking packs by putting in a wire frame and load lifters along with really comfortable foam. It has saved me from sore shoulders and a broken back! I wish it had a hip belt option and better waterproofing on the zippers but it would be at the cost of adding more weight. The pack itself has some very nice organization for tech and documents, saving the need for a tech pouch.
Is backpack ist perfect for me. I need a lot space for 2 MacBook pros 16“ and my Vision Pro. And all my over stuff.
Works great even by heavy load.
Took this bag onto two flights already. One of most comfortable harness systems on a pack at this price point! The wire frame really keeps the weight off your shoulders while keeping the bag light. The pockets and organization are just what anyone needs without being overdone. And the material choice really lets the bag expand out enough to fit a little over 30L if you gotta pack it tight. Highly recommend for anyone that needs a travel backpack that can do it all.
What convinced me was mainly how Rework are on social media (especially YouTube), and email support. This openness, attentiveness to the community, and in-depth explanations really made me feel safe placing my money here. Also it wasn't just a well designed backpack, but it was people really worth supporting.
I was looking for a backpack that could help me during everyday stuff and also shopping groceries, carrying heavier stuff with some products having sharp edges. I got a confirmation that this wouldn't be a problem at all for the nylon material used for this backpack. When I received it I was pleasantly surprised by the /thickness/sturdiness of the material, I haven't yet had an experience with nylon backpacks so I expected something more flimsy. It doesn't flop around when you walk if its empty. It looks nice no matter how full it is. The zippers seem great. There are so many functions and design stuff that I'm still discovering but as long as this material can last the expected time I will probably be very satisfied for the next decade and more. When I carried around 22 lbs in it I felt it fit me great I don't have any other similar stuff to compare it to as all my previous once I've been cheap stuff
Worth noting: my use case might be more limited - I don't have a laptop or a tablet, I've not used it during the rain yet, I've not used it in the forest etc, not worn it heavily loaded for hours. But so far not a single negative thing I've noticed about it
