The Toshi Sling 2.5L V2 is our most compact offering of the Toshi Series. With the same stowable compression straps that can be found in our 5L and 6L variants, it adapts to secure more than just your essentials. V2 introduces a more structured main fabric, a softer strap for comfort, and a highly requested top handle — thoughtful updates that refine the user experience.

Inspired by Tokyo
During our travels in Tokyo, we were inspired by the understated yet reliable infrastructure of the city. These qualities resonate with our approach to design and our vision of creating gear that is functional with low-key aesthetics, fully culminating in the Toshi Series.

Streamlined Form
A 2.5L footprint that looks compact when worn on-body.
Space Efficient Design
A flat rectangular base to maximize every inch of space at the bottom. The use of suspended pockets keeps smaller items on top of bulky items, and out of the "crush zone".
Focus on construction
Materials and hardware chosen carefully to maintain abrasion and weather resistance while keeping the sling relatively light.
Ambidextrous Carry
A removable carrying strap allows for configuring the buckle orientation on either the right or left side.
Stay Secure
Keep your sling firmly in place with our stabilizing strap (sold separately), designed for active commuters who demand a reliable and secure carrying solution.

This is a great product.
There are a lot of players making really good EDC and travel products right now — Peak Design, Evergoods, Bellroy, Topo, Matador, Tomtoc and more.
Rework’s approach to a sling combines thoughtful design, excellent materials and exceptional craftsmanship to create a flexible, durable and useful product that actually makes my day run a little more smoothly.
Among the offerings of many companies making excellent gear, the Toshi 2.5 stands out. To me this product presents as a bit of an outlier (like Apple 20 years ago) and in a way, that’s an added value.
It's been a couple of weeks since I got it, and I'm loving it! Good quality and materials, low-key yet attractive, spacious and comfortable.
The only complaint I have is that the external straps, although IMMENSELY useful, are not easy to deploy quickly because the mechanism for attaching them to the bag is a little finicky to engage.
Other than that, it's my daily go-to, and I don't see it changing anytime soon, unless there are structural surprises down the road!
I got the 2.5L option and was worried it would be too small, boy was I wrong. The bag has excellent capacity and is great for every day usage. As phones get heavier and men’s shorts move away from belt loops (who knows why this is a thing but whatever) a good carry sling has become a crucial part
Of my weekend attire. This fits that role perfectly.
I’m especially excited to take it when I travel, as it will make a decent day bag for smaller excursions.
Hey guys, just wanted to share my thoughts on the Rework Toshi Sling 2.5L V2 after using it for a bit.
Honestly, the main reason I grabbed this is the exterior design. It looks super sleek and tactical without being too boxy or rectangular. They also threw in some really unique features that I love, like the magnetic front compartment that hides the external latch points, a modular key leash that you can move around to different spots instead of being stuck with one fixed point, and a fully removable strap. The top handle is also a lifesaver for quick grab-and-go moments when the bag is loaded up.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s working and what’s not:
The Pros:
Excellent Main Compartment: The organization inside the main pocket is so good. There are multiple smaller pockets, so your tinier items stay exactly where you put them instead of sliding around at the bottom.
4 Separate Compartments: Really solid layout overall for segregating your gear.
Smooth Zippers: Zipping it on and off is an absolute breeze. No catching or tugging.
The Cons:
The "Full" Silhouette: Even when I pack it pretty lightly, the bag somehow manages to look kind of cramped from the outside, even though there’s still plenty of physical room left in the main compartment. If you actually pack it to capacity, it looks pretty bulky and awkward (you can even see this in their own YouTube videos). Honestly, if you need to carry more than the bare essentials, you probably need to step up to the 5L.
The Back Pocket is a Black Hole: The rear pocket is massive, but it doesn't have a single divider or internal pocket. I tried putting my nail clippers and a multi-tool back there since I rarely use them and didn't want them cluttering the main space, but they just slid all over the place. I ended up having to buy a separate small pouch just to drop inside the back pocket to keep things organized.
Overall, it’s a great sling with top-tier organization, just watch out for the capacity limits and be ready to use a pouch if you plan on using that back pocket for smaller tools. Let me know if you guys have any questions about it!
The Rework Toshi 2.5L Sling packs a ton of functionality into a compact size. The interior organization in the main compartment is thoughtfully designed and provides plenty of space throughout for all of my everyday essentials while keeping everything easy to access. The added external compression straps are ideal for carrying an umbrella or light jacket and can be neatly stored away when not in use. It is the most versatile, well-designed sling I’ve ever owned. Comfortable too. I really love it.
Well-made, stylish, and the perfect size -- not too small, not too big. It fits all the essentials and has lots of helpful compartments. The sunglass pocket is particularly appreciated. Good strap system as well.
