The Toshi Sling 2.5L V2 is our most compact offering of the Toshi Series. With the same stowable compression straps that can be found in our 5L and 6L variants, it adapts to secure more than just your essentials. V2 introduces a more structured main fabric, a softer strap for comfort, and a highly requested top handle — thoughtful updates that refine the user experience.
Carefully constructed with the goal of balancing durability and weight, its understated appearance offers more functionality than meets the eye.

Inspired by Tokyo
During our travels in Tokyo, we were inspired by the understated yet reliable infrastructure of the city. These qualities resonate with our approach to design and our vision of creating gear that is functional with low-key aesthetics, fully culminating in the Toshi Series.

Streamlined Form
A 2.5L footprint that looks compact when worn on-body.
Space Efficient Design
A flat rectangular base to maximize every inch of space at the bottom. The use of suspended pockets keeps smaller items on top of bulky items, and out of the "crush zone".
Focus on construction
Materials and hardware chosen carefully to maintain abrasion and weather resistance while keeping the sling relatively light.
Ambidextrous Carry
A removable carrying strap allows for configuring the buckle orientation on either the right or left side.
Stay Secure
Keep your sling firmly in place with our stabilizing strap (sold separately), designed for active commuters who demand a reliable and secure carrying solution.

The Rework Toshi 2.5L V2 Sling Bag is well constructed and hits a lot of the features I’ve been looking for in a sling, like removable straps and external anchor points. I can carry my iPad mini, AirPods, phone, wallet, charger, power bank, and a few other daily essentials without issue. I’m comparing this against the tomtoc Compact EDC Sling Bag and the Topo Designs Mini Quick Pack.
There are a few areas for improvement, which is why I'm giving the bag 4 stars:
Weight:
At 0.75 lbs empty, it’s heavier than it needs to be. I’d love to see this closer to 0.5 lbs or less.
Compression straps:
I get the idea of hiding the straps for a cleaner look, but it feels like that comes at the cost of extra material and magnets, especially if you remove the straps entirely. I’d rather see the two outer pockets combined into one and simplify things.
AirTag holder:
The slot needs to be deeper, or the flap needs something like Velcro to keep it secure. If I flip the bag upside down and shake it, the AirTag falls out. I ended up using an AirTag keychain case clipped to the internal key loop instead.
Main compartment organization:
Once you put a larger flat item in (tablet, e-reader, Switch), everything else really needs to be flat too, or it starts pressing into the device. If I want to avoid that, I have to put the device in the back of the main compartment, but then the keychain loop starts digging into it. The back section also barely fits my iPad mini with a case. I’d make that area deeper and move the key loop somewhere else, like one of the outer pockets.
Suspended pockets:
One set is enough. Having two just adds more material and weight without adding much functionality.
Strap:
The minimum strap length is too long to comfortably use this as a waist pack. I like having that option for versatility, and this doesn’t quite get there.
Overall, the Toshi 2.5L V2 gets a lot right. It’s thoughtfully designed, has good carrying capacity, and has the kind of modular features I appreciate. But it also feels like it’s trying to do a little too much, and that shows up in the weight and some of the internal tradeoffs.
Design and execution is well done. Excellent product.
Good product, it meets my needs.
Great bag, although I wish it was a little bit bigger, like maybe a 3.5L volume. I'll probably get the 5L size as well, just hoping they have different colours.
I’ve only been using this bag for a little bit but already it’s pretty great. I am able to strap my Yeti via the bottom straps which is super nicely for freeing up my hands. Perfect internal space and looks good.
I have been searching for a sling with a grab handle and this one is great. I like that you can't really see it but is there when needed. I also love that the strap's clasp can be put on the left or right side. And the size is perfect!
